Susceptibility of the High-temperature Superconductor YBa2 Cu3 O7-y Substituted Ca for a Part of Ba


Abstract
Abstract-The samples of the high-temperature superconductor Yba2 Cu3 O7-x and YBa2-x Cax Cu3 O7-y(X-0, 0.01. 0.35, 0.75) were prepared and analyzed respectively with X-ray diffraction method, and with SEM photograph.
From the measurements of susceptibility of these samples, the maximum critical temperature is found to be 86K, 82K, 73K, 72K at X-0, 0.01, 0.35, 0.75 respectively.
The decrease of the critical temperatures by Ca substitution in the crystal implies that the oxygen density, is one of the important parameter which controls the hole densities in the crystal.
These observations are consistent with the model in which Tc depends on mobile on the plane Cu-O plane.
